In the News: Factory using waste pure water sachets to make roofing sheets.
According to our source, Mr Owolabi Adejowon, the factory is owned by a family member. All that takes place is that these pure water sachets, once collected by pickers who bring them to the factory somewhere around Eleko in the Lekki peninsula, they are paid based on the weight of what is collected. This proves to be the revolutionary part: paying for waste collection; waste that is then converted as raw material for manufacturing. The material manufactured is roofing sheets. In fact, in his residential estate around Awoyaya, Mr Owolabi has used some of these sheets as cladding for various housing units. DDH is yet to zero in on the production details of this factory but certainly this is a story we shall bring up in fuller details sometime in the near future. |
